Let’s face it: I’m pretty young. I’m still figuring out the area(s) in which I can aid systemic change, so I’m building my skills in the meantime.

Firstly, I’m a co-founder and the Executive Director of an international, artist-led, Good Market certified social enterprise. At Riverbed Collective, we celebrate creatives, their uniques styles, and their shared stories.
Since 2023, we’ve worked with 200+ artists from 20+ countries across three large-scale publications.
My focus is now on growing Riverbed into an organisation that can flexibly, transparently, and sustainably serve the needs of our community.

Theatre in Education for 240 primary school students
In 2023, I wrote, directed, and guided performances for 240 primary school children to facilitate discussions around friendship and perspective-taking, based on Kolb’s experiential learning theory and other psychological concepts.
I found meaning in how my practices as a ‘more knowledgeable other’—body language, gestures, the script itself—kept children in the zone of proximal development; an environment where they felt safe, yet engaged, which allowed them to explore an otherwise difficult topic.
Champion team leader for the Third CityU x HKSCC Cosmetics Formulation Competition
In 2023, my team and I formulated a cleansing milk by reviewing literature on supramolecular chemistry, devising production techniques, and solving issues with emulsion stability. We also did market research, developed business plans, and were the champions among 74 total teams from top schools in Hong Kong.
This competition pushed me in areas ranging from chemistry to business strategy, but the interpersonal skills I developed were the most valuable by far. This, combined with Theatre in Education, forced me to learn how to create the trust and support necessary for growth.

Erin was a dedicated intern for two months at Shakespeare4All. During her internship with us, among the many tasks she has accomplished, I’m mostly impressed by her proposal to the Swire Archive Centre, our event partner, in which she adapted the Centre’s museum to a version suitable for children aged 8-15 years old. In the process, she incorporated knowledge and research across different fields, in particular children’s museum design and developmental psychology.
Erin has shown a high level of organisational skills, proactiveness, attention to detail, creativity, and an exceptional ability to think and interpret given materials to cater for the required context. I would highly recommend her.

During her internship at Shakespeare4All, what stood out to me was her superb time management skills, which provided smooth and quick efficiency for our projects. She is also an excellent communicator of her ideas and provides stellar suggestions for improvements.
